This is the first of our little bird projects that we created this week.

Cricket...

Although we now live in Israel and will be raising our kids here, I will NEVER let go of Cricket! and i'm determined that ALL my kiddies will know how to play it! When we were last in NZ we brought back with us a few cricket bats, wickets and balls. So now that Shalev is able to hold the bat and throw the ball, we've begun the training! hehe...

Goodbye Winter... hello Spring!

I know ive been talking about Spring an awful lot around here lately, but honestly im just SO excited about it!! These last few days we've been having almost 30'C degrees, so i can truly feel spring in the air.

We've been continuing on with our spring art, and will do so until Summer I guess! But this week we've been focusing on birds... so in the next few posts i'll show you a few 'birdie' projects that shalev and i have been doing together.

Purim Party!!

Today we hosted a small purim party!

For shalev it was his 2nd Purim and Yoav's first. This year Shalev dressed up as a fireman (a very handsome one!) and Yoav as a panda bear (a very cute one!). Shalev and Yoav had 3 little friends come to the party. Graham, our dear little 17 month old friend, came dressed in fine chinaman clothing. He Looked the part!! And Gefen, our 9 month old friend, came as minnie mouse (though the head piece didnt stay on for long!!) And Or, our 10 month old friend, came as Or.

We so enjoyed celebrating Purim with our dear little friends, and their mummies and daddies too! Thanks guys for making it a special day! And thanks for the delicious Hamentachen cookies! (the traditional purim cookies) (which i didnt get any photos of!!).

Yes, i was busy the day before the party... but i enjoyed EVERY minute of it!! I just hope Shalev and Yoav enjoyed it as much as we did!

Spring art!

For us, Spring has arrived! and are we glad about it!! The air is filled with delightful smells and purfumes, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining! oh and the grass is greening! YAY! SO... to celebrate, Spring is going up all over the play corner! and to add to it all is one of shalev's latest arts....

Our recent weekend trip to Jerusalem...

Dave was asked to do some recording in Jerusalem a few weekends ago, so we ALL ventured up there for 3 nights. It was a wonderful time, we caught up with some very dear friends, and also enjoyed the relaxation and the beauty of some of the parks around the city.

And this is Jerusalem's new bridge which has been put at the entrance of the city...you come to it just after you climb the "hills of Jerusalem"

After a fun filled weekend, and a long (2 1/4 hour) homeward journey Shalev happily dozed off in the back. He was as happy as ever.. he has his doogy and his packet of bamba!

One day Shalev came to me asking me to put him up on the chair by the computer... i didnt really like the idea too much, but i did it anyhow. And then after about 2 minutes i came back into the room only to find Shalev doing this at the computer...

...he was writing, typing and calling people! (not real people of course!)

I was amazed! the things he observes is just incredible! haha!!

...so i quickly grabbed the camera and took a few shots... here they are.
